How SCG Partners collects, uses, discloses and protects personal data under Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act 2012.
Last updated: 19 October 2026
Who We Are
SCG Partners is a trading name of Satchfield Consulting Group Pte Ltd, a company registered in Singapore (UEN 202512940Z) and a licensed employment agency (Licence No. 25S2894), with its office at 120 Robinson Road, Singapore 068913.
This policy explains how we collect, use, disclose and protect personal data in line with the Personal Data Protection Act 2012 of Singapore (PDPA). It applies to candidates, client contacts, referees, visitors to this website and anyone else whose personal data we handle in the course of our recruitment and advisory work.
Personal Data We Collect
- Candidates: your name and contact details, CV, employment history, qualifications and skills, current and expected salary and benefits, notice period, the roles and locations you are interested in, work eligibility and nationality where they are relevant to a role, references, and notes from our conversations and interviews.
- Client and business contacts: your name, job title, employer, business contact details and records of our communications and engagements.
- Referees: your name, contact details, relationship to the candidate and the reference you provide.
- Website visitors: the details you submit through our contact and careers forms (such as your name, email, company, enquiry type, role of interest and message), and technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you request.
We do not ask for NRIC numbers or copies of NRIC unless the law requires it or it is necessary to verify your identity for a specific engagement.
How We Collect It
- Directly from you, when you complete a form on this website, email or call us, send us your CV or meet us.
- From publicly available sources, such as professional networking sites, company websites, conference materials and industry publications.
- From other people, such as referees, clients and contacts who recommend you, where the PDPA allows it.
Why We Use It
- For candidates: to assess your experience against roles, introduce you to clients with your agreement, arrange interviews, support offers and onboarding, and keep in touch about future opportunities that fit your background.
- For clients and business contacts: to deliver our recruitment and advisory services, manage our relationship with you, and send market insights we think are relevant to you. You can opt out of these at any time.
- For everyone: to respond to enquiries, operate and secure this website, meet our legal and regulatory obligations, including those that apply to us as a licensed employment agency, and establish or defend legal claims.
Consent
We collect, use and disclose personal data with your consent, or where the PDPA allows us to do so without consent, for example where the data is publicly available or where we have a legitimate interest that the PDPA recognises.
We will not send your CV or details that identify you to a client without first telling you about the role and getting your agreement.
You can withdraw your consent at any time. See Your Rights below.
Who We Share It With
- Clients who are considering you for a role, with your agreement.
- Referees and background check providers, with your agreement.
- Service providers who host this website, store our data, deliver our email and support our IT systems. They may only use personal data to provide their services to us and must protect it.
- Our professional advisers, such as lawyers and accountants.
- Government authorities, such as the Ministry of Manpower, where the law requires it.
We do not sell personal data.
Transfers Outside Singapore
We recruit across Asia Pacific, so a client considering you may be based in Hong Kong, Taiwan, Japan, Korea, Vietnam, Thailand, Indonesia, the Philippines, Malaysia or elsewhere. Some of our service providers also store data outside Singapore.
When we transfer personal data outside Singapore, we take steps to make sure the recipient protects it to a standard comparable to the PDPA, for example through contractual obligations. Where the law of another country gives you additional rights over your data, we will respect them.
How We Protect and Keep It
We use reasonable security arrangements to protect personal data, including encrypted connections for this website and its forms, access controls, and limiting access to people who need it for their work.
We keep personal data only for as long as it serves the purposes in this policy or as the law requires, including the records we must keep as a licensed employment agency. After that, we delete it or anonymise it. We review candidate records periodically.
If a data breach occurs, we will assess it promptly and notify the Personal Data Protection Commission and the people affected where the PDPA requires us to.
Your Rights
- Access: you can ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you and how it has been used or disclosed in the past year.
- Correction: you can ask us to correct personal data that is inaccurate or incomplete.
- Withdrawal of consent: you can ask us to stop using your personal data. We will explain what this means for you, for example that we can no longer put you forward for roles.
- Marketing: you can unsubscribe from our insight emails at any time using the link in the email or by contacting us.
We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request. We aim to respond as soon as reasonably possible and within 30 days. If we need longer, we will tell you when to expect a response. We may charge a reasonable fee for access requests, and we will tell you the fee before we proceed.
